Conveniently located next to the pool and Community Center is the playground and field. It's open year round and has rest rooms near by in the breezeway. The grass field is a great space to play sports and hosts our annual events, such as our Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Festival. There are also 3 pickleball courts and 1 tennis court on the other side of the center.
A linear park was installed on the North side along Turner-Smith Rd. It includes a dog park and another playground.
A paved trail that winds along Reedy Fork Creek through the woods offers a peaceful retreat for walking, jogging or riding bikes. It is located behind Black Willow, Elderbush and Boxelder neighborhoods. There are several trailhead entrances, as well as a tunnel that gives access to the Community Center located near Elder Place.

The public schools serving the Reedy Fork community include Reedy Fork Elementary, located within the neighborhood, and Northeast Guilford Middle and High Schools, located about five minutes away on McLeansville Road.

Pick up is every Thursday morning. Recycling (brown can) and Bulk Pick-up is every other Thursday. Remember the “7-7-7” rule. Place your container at the curb after 7 pm the night before or no later than 7 am on your service day. All containers should be removed by 7 pm on your service day. Please note that Parking Enforcement does not enforce regulations on private streets (these streets can be identified by their white signs with green letters).
City of Greensboro Enforced Parking Laws
Vehicles in violation of the following laws risk being towed by the City of Greensboro:
1. Vehicles parked within five (5) feet of a fire hydrant.
2. Vehicles parked so as to obstruct a private driveway.
3. Vehicles apparently abandoned on the streets within the fire limits of the city for a period of forty-eight (48) hours or any other section of the city for a period of (7) days.
4. Vehicles parked within twenty-five (25) feet of a street intersection.
5. Vehicles parked in a space designated for physically handicapped persons when such vehicle does not display the distinguishing license plate or placard.
6. The parking of oversized vehicles on streets.
7. Vehicles parked so as to obstruct a sidewalk.
Vehicles in violation of the following laws will be subject to citation by the City of Greensboro Police Department or Parking Enforcement:
1. Parking within twenty-five (25) feet of an intersection.
2. Parking within five (5) feet of a fire hydrant.
3. Parking within five (5) feet of entrance to a driveway. (Any driveway)
4. Parking as to obstruct sidewalk or crosswalk.
· Vehicles parked in driveways, protruding onto the sidewalk and vehicle parked partially on the sidewalk.
5. Parking of oversized vehicles on streets.
· Vehicles in excess of eighty (80) inches in width or in excess of thirty (30) feet in length, or any trailer, on the streets or vehicle hitched to a trailer.
6. Parking left side of vehicle to curb on a two-way street. (car facing wrong way)
· On a two-way street, passenger side of vehicle should always be to the curb.
